How the DC System Works
The Alfa Gamma system consists of a thyristor (SCR-Diyot) bridge operating in parallel with a battery bank. The rectifier normally supplies the load while simultaneously recharging the battery. The complete DC system is a solid state power unit with a constant voltage output and is current limited incorporating the following features: • The output remains constant and the battery kept fully charged when the load current is varied from 0 to 100 % of its rated value. • Alfa Gamma rectifier can not be damaged by overload or short circuit. |
